This one-day course is for people whose regular employment is coming to an end. They may be at or near retirement age, but feel that they cannot afford simply to stop work and rely on whatever pension and savings they may have. They need to find new ways of earning money, but have no clear idea of what to do.
The course will give delegates the knowledge and confidence to make a start, by demonstrating the options that might be available, helping them to discover what their skills, experience and interests might suit them for and developing a plan to put what they have learned into action.
Hence it is a first step, to help people who are worried or confused to plan a new direction for their working lives. It is not a one-stop-shop covering all the detail required to start a new business or establish a new career.
