This new course is for people whose regular employment is coming to an end. They may be at or near retirement age, but feel that they cannot afford simply to stop work and rely on whatever pension and savings they may have. They need to find new ways of earning money, but have no clear idea of what to do. It is a first step, to help people who are worried or confused to plan a new direction for their working lives. It is not a one-stop shop covering all the detail required to start a business or establish a new career.
The aim of the course is to help delegates identify and gain understanding of the process and goals that may enable them towards choosing and developing opportunities for working after retirement.
By the end of the course delegates will have:
We will be running a Ways into Work after Retirement course that is open to all on Tuesday 18th October 2011 at the Y Centre in Guildford. The cost per delegate is £110. Surrey Retirement Association have been awarded a grant from the Community Foundation for Surrey to develop a new course - "Ways into Work after Retirement".This new course is for people whose regular employment is coming to an end. - explored / discussed possible case scenarios.
- articulated and/or confirmed the vision of their desired new direction.
- specified and discussed stages and goals for action.
- identified and discussed existing and desired strengths.
- begun to consider, plan, and prepare for action.
