About SRA, Our Aims and Ambitions

The SRA is a registered charity, which gives us the freedom to concentrate on meeting our clients' needs, without being distracted by commercial pressures.

We have over 20 years experience of providing high quality retirement training services, to both the public and private sectors.

Our courses are based on what was then groundbreaking work by Professor Alistair Heron, who suggested in the late 1950s that there are six elements that contribute to a fruitful retirement: good health, an adequate income, suitable accommodation, supportive relationships, absorbing interests and an appropriate personal life philosophy.

Our aim is to ensure that people take some time out to think about their retirement and give them guidance on how the transition into retirement may affect them and those close to them.
